This year, graduates with lived experiences of gun violence shared powerful applications and impact statements, turning hardship into action. They demonstrated resilience and a clear commitment to transforming pain into purpose—advancing awareness, safety, and healing in their communities.

Our selection committee sought leadership, courage, and a sustained dedication to reducing gun violence through education, advocacy, and service. The 2026 recipients stood out for listening, learning, and leading with empathy and integrity. They’re recent high school graduates continuing their journeys as catalysts for change—through mentorship, community organizing, school initiatives, and public awareness.
