2026 PlANNED INITIATIVES
In 2026, we aim to elevate awareness about gun violence and our ongoing initiatives. We will also expand our JB White Foundation Scholarship program, building on our commitment to education. Last year, we proudly contributed $13,000 to the UNM Anderson School Endowment Scholarship, and we plan to increase our support further. Together, we can make a lasting impact and foster positive in our community.
2025-2026 JB Wings Shoe Gifting
JB's Wing Shoe Giveaway is a heartfelt initiative by the JB White Foundation, partnering with ADs and Coaches from high schools across New Mexico. This program helps basketball players in need by providing quality shoes anonymously. The NMAA assists in distributing the messaging to schools, ensuring that deserving athletes the footwear necessary to thrive on the court, regardless of their financial situation. With the support of the foundation participating schools, the JB's Wing Shoe Giveaway boosts athletes performance while fostering a strong sense of community within the program.
JB White Foundation National Gun Violence Awareness Day- Outdoor 3 on 3 Tournament
Stand with us on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, June 6, as the JB White Foundation hosts a community evening of education, resources, and youth empowerment. Free food, a 3-on-3 youth basketball tournament (limited spots), and family-friendly activities.

Gala Event - October 2026
Join us for our 2026 Gala . In 2025, we featured esteemed guest speakers and notable attendees, including lawmakers and 50 high school basketball players. We are excited to announce that UNM Lobo Coaches will be present this year, adding to the event's prestige. Stay tuned for more details as we finalize the date and location!
JB White Night - Demons vs. Jags - January 23rd
Join us in celebrating the incredible legacy of JB White, a true player and legend, at the Santa Fe High School Demons Boys vs. Capital Jaguars Basketball game. The Demons boys basketball team is proud to host this special event, where can purchase exclusive JB merchandise. All proceeds from these sales will directly the foundation's mission. Together, let's honor JB's significant impact and contribute to a great cause!
4th Annual JB White Memorial Tournament - July 17-19, 2026
Last year, we welcomed nearly 100 teams and 1,000 basketball players to our event. Participants received free bags, t-shirts, and wristbands showcasing JB and our commitment to gun violence awareness We were proud to eliminate a $13K balance for the JB Memorial Scholarship at the University of New Mexico.
