We are thrilled to announce that Paula Flores has joined the JB White Foundation as a Board Member for Grants Governance. Paula brings a wealth of experience and expertise in grant management, making her an invaluable addition to our team as we work to empower youth in our community.

Paula’s impressive career includes her most recent role as the Federal Grants Bureau Chief at the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration. In this capacity, she developed and implemented comprehensive systems that significantly improved the management of federal grants across numerous state agencies. Her strategic oversight ensured transparency and efficiency, which are critical for maximizing the impact of funding initiatives.

After her tenure in state government, Paula excelled as a contracted Grant Manager to the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Council. She served as the Client Outcomes Practice Lead for Grants at MTX Group. These positions allowed her to refine her skills in proposal management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning, placing her at the forefront of grant initiatives that drive meaningful change. As a Certified Grant Manager, Paula is committed to upholding the highest standards of accountability and effectiveness in grant governance.

At the JB White Foundation, Paula will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to raise awareness about gun violence, provide academic scholarships to deserving high school seniors, and support youth participation in sports through assistance with registration fees and apparel. Her passion for youth empowerment aligns seamlessly with our goals of instilling values of responsibility, resilience, and community engagement in young individuals.
